Frequently asked questions

Are the generated passwords safe to use?

Yes. Passwords are generated locally in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues, a cryptographically secure random source. Nothing is transmitted or stored anywhere.

What makes a password strong?

Length matters most. A strong password is at least 12–16 characters and mixes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. The strength meter estimates entropy based on length and character variety.

Should I use a different password for every account?

Absolutely. Reusing passwords means one leaked site compromises all your accounts. Use this generator together with a password manager to keep unique passwords everywhere.
